Meet the Team at Needville Family Dentistry

At Needville Family Dentistry, we strive to provide exceptional dental care in a family-friendly environment. We believe the four pillars of a truly exceptional dental experience are comfort, compassion, customer service, and quality dentistry. That’s our mission—to create a dental experience unlike any other. We welcome people of all ages and all walks of life into our dental family with open arms and a smile.

Our team culture is helpful and friendly, so our patients enjoy spending time with us. We believe in comprehensive dental care, and with advanced technology and our highly skilled and compassionate team, we are changing the way people feel about dentistry! We've thought of your comfort in every area of our dental practice, including thoughtful amenities like noise-canceling headphones that offer pleasant distraction with a movie or your favorite music.

Dr. Jennifer Kunkel and our dental team are also very committed to giving back to the community and the world we live in. We provide free annual dental education programs to Needville ISD, Damon ISD, and other local schools and childcare facilities in our community. Dr. Kunkel has participated in local career day presentations and has traveled to Kampala, Uganda to provide services and education to children with special needs. We also support many local organizations and establishments that serve and give back to the community.

If you're looking for high-quality dentistry in Needville, Wharton, Boling, West Colombia, Fairchilds, or any surrounding community, please call Dr. Kunkel and her team to schedule your next dental appointment.

Dr. Jennifer Kunkel

I am originally from the Texas Hill Country and moved to Needville in 1992. In 2000, I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). In 2001, I started my own practice, Needville Family Dentistry, on Hwy 36 in Needville.

I love what I do! I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. I enjoy attending continuing education classes around the country to improve my knowledge and skills and to keep up with the ever-changing and growing field of dentistry.

I have a wonderful husband, Cory, and five amazing adult children, Taylor and her husband, Jarrod, Cortney, Kate, and Cody. I actively participate in the First Baptist Church of Needville, as a board member at First Academy preschool, and work with both youth and missions. When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my family traveling, hiking, snow skiing, or just hanging out.

In 2019, I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Kampala, Uganda and serve the people by providing services and education to the families of children with special needs through Hope Speaks. is a wonderful non-profit organization that reaches the underserved areas of Kampala with speech pathology assistance and training. It was an eye-opening and life-changing experience, and I hope to go back soon!

Dr. Kathryn Davis

I grew up in Boling and now reside in Rosenberg. I attended Baylor University to earn my Bachelor’s degree and the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston to earn my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2018. I feel so blessed to be part of the team at Needville Family Dentistry!

Within dentistry, I love connecting with patients and the team in order to provide gentle, compassionate care to everyone. I enjoy staying up to date with the newest technologies in the field, and finding innovative ways to make dental care efficient and effective. I participate in the various dental associations like the Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association as well as the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. I am always hungry to learn and I’ve found that being involved in these great organizations helps me stay on top of my continuing education.

Outside of dentistry, I love spending time with my family and friends.  My husband Michael and I enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and hiking along with our dog Finley.  And we will never turn down some good Tex-Mex food!

Dental offices are safe

There have not been any documented cases of coronavirus traced to a dental practice. Patient screening, PPE, social distancing, and the myriad of disinfection and sterilization procedures that have already been in place have been effective in preventing the spread of the virus.
